Following are a few facts I realized in past three weeks. They seem to be helping me, might help you too - not to become an UC expert, but to keep you motivated.
- YOU WILL FALL MANY TIMES!- so make up your mind - mostly body :)
- Its all about getting used to your UC
- Relax and be patient. There are no shortcuts to learn UC
- Practise... practise... practise... practise
- May help but do not count on your bicycle/skates/ski skills
- Before starting take a moment, close your eyes and imagine the balancing scenarios
- Everyday try to learn something new (even if its small) and be proud of it - it will keep you motivated
- Everyday start with your most comfortable position
- Do not take more than 50% risk. If you see a chance of falling, back off
- Learn from your mistakes and do not over do
